The Role of the Aboriginal Ministry of Justice
The Republic governs. The Ministry administers. Both are needed for a nation to function.
The Aboriginal Ministry of Justice (AMJ) is the government administrative organization of the Xi-Amaru Republic. Founded in November 2021, it prepared the administrative groundwork for the nation and, when the Republic was established on December 17, 2022, was transferred into the Republic’s jurisdiction. It administers citizenship, national records, identification and services.
The authority to implement and administer the administrative functions of a nation, exercised under the jurisdiction of its governing authority.
Before the Republic: building the foundation
Between November 2021 and December 17, 2022, the Ministry served as the primary administrative body preparing for governance. It established identity administration systems, prepared citizenship infrastructure, kept administrative continuity and developed jurisdictional infrastructure. It was the administrative precursor to the Republic.
After the Republic: administering the nation
When the Republic was established, the Ministry was transferred into its jurisdiction. The structure since then is simple: the Xi-Amaru Republic is the governing authority, and the Aboriginal Ministry of Justice is its government administrative organization.
What the Ministry does
- administers citizenship processes, from screening to recognition
- maintains national identity records
- issues identification and certified records
- runs national administrative systems and services
- supports jurisdictional infrastructure as the nation develops
The pioneer phase
The Republic is in its pioneer phase of national development. Administrative and jurisdictional systems are still being built, and the Ministry carries much of that work. People are what make the system run: the citizens who register, use its procedures and hold its offices.
“Indigenous peoples have the right to promote, develop and maintain their institutional structures and their distinctive customs, spirituality, traditions, procedures, practices and, in the cases where they exist, juridical systems or customs, in accordance with international human rights standards.”
“Indigenous peoples have the right to maintain and strengthen their distinct political, legal, economic, social and cultural institutions, while retaining their right to participate fully, if they so choose, in the political, economic, social and cultural life of the State.”
